How much of yourself
Are you prepared to give For the things you love How much time How many sleepless nights What price are you prepared to pay To do everything This is not the best poem (or even the most pressing thought on my mind) but it was the thing that came easiest to paper so that's what I'm going with for now - Atlas The soft, subtle kindnesses of others
Ripple throughout the present Building and crashing into the future To make-- Something new, perhaps? So it goes - Atlas Some limits are meant to be overcome
But others simply break It is part of the journey of life To learn to tell the difference Ah, yes, more bad poetry - Atlas Rest now
And may the world be slightly better Upon your awakening. This is a genuinely terrible poem - Atlas And there you were,
Amidst it all Still standing Still fighting Still trying to make this terrifying world a better place Fun (and by 'fun' I mean terrifying) fact: You can never know what impact you have on other people until they tell you - Atlas Mementos fade
And memories do too After a time But it happened It was real And no power in the universe can make it unhappen I'm gonna be honest here this is a terrible poem but I did try to say something vaguely real - Atlas "Because I said so--"
the answer to all questions and the end to all answers (tell me, when did your desire for certainty become more important than the truth?) It's late - Atlas When the mics turn on
It is important to remember Why you climbed up onto the stage Despite the fear Because that, in the end Is what's most important I need to go to bed earlier - Atlas Please stop
Before it is too late Turn around Change Undo the damage you have caused And maybe Things can still be saved Me, to myself, constantly - Atlas |
