Behold!
All the colors in the black The greens and yellows and blues Like rainbows reflected in oil Or the quiet dignity of stars Behold! And wonder at the majesty before your eyes Clenched tight As you fall asleep And your waking thoughts Give way to dreams Eeeeeeeeeh -Atlas The question follows me
Like the ghost of an avenging dawn Over hills and rivers From far away To my home and my dreams Like an echo of my heartbeat (Was it enough?) (Was it enough?) (Was it enough?) Fun stuff -Atlas And oh,
Your flowers would have been So beautiful If they had not sprung from the ground Before the last frost Hmm -Atlas My words were
All wrong But I'm glad you listened Story of my life honestly -Atlas I am standing on the precipice
of two distinct different futures I have looked each in the eye and I know that even if the worst should come to pass I will be fine But who knows? -Atlas When all the stars align
And it's the moment you've waited for Your entire life Will you freeze? Will you fight? Will you do what's right? Rhymes are weird (but also kind of fun) -Atlas Some days it's just a lot,
You know? But I'm still here And honestly That's enough It's late and I'm tired and I still have homework (but that's just life sometimes. I CAN DO THIS) -Atlas And even if
No one saw Any of this I'd do it all again No regrets -Atlas The stars diminish one by one
But you hold on Waiting For the promise of a sunrise I kind of like this poem but I kind of don't at the same time -Atlas |
