So kind to me In the face of my failures (I don't want to let you down I want to be someone Worth believing in) I feel like I've been asking a lot of people to have faith in me recently - Atlas I am torn between a song of
Constant, unending fear That drives me forward And the tiny hope in my heart That remembers peace and calm After moments like right now And it whispers "We'll make it to the other side" can you tell I'm stressed right now - Atlas This is the pause
Before I'm swept back into the storm Before I go back To trying to keep my head above the water It was nice To breathe for a while But there's always a price - Atlas If you are afraid
To write something awkward, clumsy, or too bold I understand And I urge you to write anyway People who lock themselves in glass cages Rarely find happiness And often end up getting hurt regardless. Besides, I think the world needs a little more bad poetry sometimes (even if the end result is a failure, it's still worth it to try) - Atlas It's the things you'd never think you'd miss
That get you in the end Good times are hard to lose But the soft moments of in-between The transitions, The words said so often they become thoughtless, Careless, Until suddenly they aren't And they're never said again-- That is the emptiness that lingers.
