The world gives us tools and moulds and mirrors, but in the end, we are the ones that shape ourselves.

The things I wish I'd said to you lie on a bookshelf, collecting dust.
-Atlas Sometimes I measure my value by what I do and how well I do it.
And I'm never really happy when I do this, because there's always someone better than me. Someone more confident, more skilled, and farther ahead than I am. I cling to the hope that my internal worth isn't dependent on external standards. That maybe I don't have to do or have anything special to be important. Your value is not conditional. -Atlas Yes, freedom means that you can do and say what you want. It doesn't mean that people won't hold you accountable for it.
-Atlas Mistakes are inevitable. Sometimes they're small. Sometimes they can't be undone, glossed over, or forgiven.
Here's my advice: Don't let it be the end of you. Admit that you were wrong and regret what you did, but forgive yourself. (Playing blame games or hating yourself doesn't help anyone.) And face the consequences without making excuses, no matter how scary or difficult they are. It won't fix everything, but it's the best way you can go. -Atlas The more times you repeat yourself, the less I care about what you have to say.
-Atlas "Things will get better," you said. "The people in the wrong will get what's coming to them, and the righteous will be rewarded. You'll see. You'll see."
But nothing really changed, did it? (I do have hope for the world. But not that much.) -Atlas If there's some sort of universal instruction book for life and how it should be lived, I never got it. I probably wouldn't listen to it, anyway.
