Look at all these mediocre sketches. Woo! (Slow improvement is still improvement. Slow improvement is still improvement.)
I've been drawing a lot more than usual lately, and I'd have to say that The Lower Road is a big part of that. Let's see how long I can keep this up! -Atlas

I found a whole bunch of sitting references on Pinterest and decided to try them out. I'm also experimenting with different hairstyles for Nadine (and expressions. Why are eyebrows so freaking difficult to draw?)
Also, drawing during a movie is surprisingly effective. -Atlas HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY OOOH I DO I DO I DO I DO HEY OOH i really love eliza hamilton. i don't like coloring things though, which is why this is just a sketch.
and yes, that is the meme man in the corner if you were wondering -Theo Since the top one is my favorite, I'm making it big. The others are, well... less than perfect. Maybe I'm just overcritical of my own work, or maybe not. But I think it's important to show that there's a lot of trial and error to this, too. I have to remind myself often that slow improvement is sill improvement. -Atlas
Here are a few things I've drawn recently.. As you can see, I do fancy Germany, especially Berlin (even the music), and the band Gorillaz. -- DeLarge
I've taken to calling her 'Nadine' in my head. It'll probably change... eh. Also, the butterfly one was a pain to draw. Especially the legs. (Let's pretend that those are legs, 'k?) -Atlas
An earlier pose sketch.
And no, I totally don't steal my pose references off of Pinterest. (Pfft. That would be ridiculous.) -Atlas Most of the time, certain words or phrases seem to fit with what I draw, so I write them down on/near the drawing.
Sometimes I wonder what she's feeling. Sometimes I know. -Atlas |
